about us

Plainsboro Founders Day

Sankalpa USA has been an enthusiastic participant in Plainsboro’s annual Founders Day celebrations, held on the first Saturday of May, actively promoting cultural pride, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. Each year, our members proudly march in the Founders Day parade, celebrating the rich diversity and vibrant spirit of our community. A central part of our participation is the popular plant sale fundraiser, which directly supports Sankalpa’s mission of fostering greener, healthier neighborhoods. We also organize engaging, eco-themed games and activities for children, inspiring the next generation to care for the environment while adding a fun, interactive element to the day’s festivities. Through these efforts, Sankalpa proudly strengthens Plainsboro’s Founders Day legacy while promoting wellness, environmental care, and cultural pride.

Our Programs

Mission-Aligned Leadership

The members of Board of Trustee(BOT) are deeply committed to Sankalpa’s environmental mission, with expertise in ecology, sustainability, climate policy, or related fields. Their strategic guidance aligns with global environmental priorities and local ecological needs.

Clear Governance Structure

Sankalpa thrives in defining roles and responsibilities between the board, executive team, and project staff to ensure accountability and prevent mission drift. From the inception (2019) there was a continuous focus on a well-structured governance model as it strengthened decision-making and operational efficiency.

Transparency and Public Trust

As an environmental NGO, Sankalpa often works with various community groups to deal with natural resources. And it always maintains the standard of open reporting, public access to environmental impact assessments, and ethical communication to build trust with stakeholders and the public.
